Pushkar Camel Fair, also known as “Pushkar ka Mela” is one of the world’s largest camel fairs. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, devotees, and traders. It lasts for more than a month. The first day of the Hindu lunisolar month of Kartik corresponds to late October when tens of thousands of pilgrims and tourists come to bathe in the sacred Pushkar Lake and attend the colorful camel and livestock fair.
